How do skinny people eat?

Since I've been on the No S Diet, I've become more aware of peoples eating habits. I see thin people eating sweets, desserts, and fattening foods. But I also have noticed that they have no problem leaving food on their plates and they eat slowly. Many times I hear them say "NO, thank you." to offers of food. Have you noticed anything about how thin people eat? If so, please share them!

Well, skinny people don't always stay skinny. But I do notice bad habits associated with bigger folks.

Skinny people will sometimes eat a lot. They'll say, "I was hungry; I needed that." Other times they'll forget to eat. (Now, that's a behavior you can't will yourself to do!) They'll stop halfway through a meal if they're full. They almost always drink regular Coke and will mostly order fries, not salad, with their hamburger. But they won't be eating an hour or two after their meal. They don't just leave food on their plates; they leave dessert!

Skinny people may eat a lot in one meal, but at the next, or even the next day, they naturally eat less to "even things out" with out thinking about it.

I used to houseshare with an underweight man who could eat a giant bag of Doritos or Kettle chips in one sitting. I'd guess he probably skipped meals sometimes too which would balance things out but that habit wasn't healthy either. While as a general rule slim people may eat better, there are the odd ones who are just as disordered in their habits even if they eat less than a fat person overall. Watch the UK programme 'Supersize vs Superskinny' and you see the occasional slim person who has a terrible - but not calorie-dense - diet. That's one thing I like about No S - it helps get away from disordered habits, whether meal-skipping, bingeing or constant snacking on unhealthy stuff.
